A note on how we start
“We start with understanding the person, the situation and what the space needs to make possible for them.”
That might be an easier morning routine, room for a growing family, a safer way to move around at home or a dedicated space for something that brings real joy. We first understand what each space needs to make possible. Drawings, materials and construction decisions follow.
What we are
Founder-led design and build, rooted in family trades and shaped around people.
Verati Spaces brings design, practical delivery and project coordination together. Founded and led by Dan, the company grew from family trades, hands-on construction and more than fifteen years in specialist care. That experience is centred on practical adaptations, better systems and improved outcomes.
Projects are built around what the work genuinely requires. Dan remains closely involved throughout, completing much of the work directly where appropriate and drawing on trusted contractors, family trades and a small but trusted network of specialist collaborators when their skills are needed.
From an adapted bathroom to a family re-plan, or a room built around a lifelong passion or special interest, the aim is always the same: understand what needs to change, assemble the right people and deliver it with care.

Dan founded Verati after a working life that moved from family trades and hands-on construction in his early career into more than fifteen years supporting people in care and education; often putting those skills to use in less obvious ways to improve lives in practical ways. The two experiences now come together in spaces shaped around real people, practical outcomes and a standard of finish that does not treat function and beauty as competing priorities.

- Do you work on Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) adaptations?
- Yes. Verati has experience delivering work funded through the Disabled Facilities Grant and local-authority adaptation budgets, from OT-recommended scope through to sign-off. We're comfortable working alongside occupational therapists, care teams, housing associations and registered social landlords in private homes, supported living settings and sheltered housing.
